YARN

Weight 4 – 150 yards

To make the bag pictured I used worsted weight 100% acrylic yarn, you can use any yarn you like but changing the weight of yarn used will change the dimensions of your bag

My finished bag measures approximately 9 inches tall and 9 inches wide.

Begin with Magic Ring, ch 2

ROW 1

  • dc 10 into Magic Ring
  • slst to beginning dc (10 dc)

ROW 2

  • ch 2
  • 2 dc in each stitch around
  • slst to beginning dc (20 stitches)

ROW 3

  • ch 2 
  • *dc in next stitch, 2 dc in next stitch*
  • Repeat from * to * around
  • slst to beginning dc (30 stitches)

ROW 4

  • ch 2
  • *dc in the next 2 stitches, 2 dc in next stitch*
  • Repeat from * to * around
  • slst to beginning dc (40 stitches)

ROW 5

  • ch 2
  • *dc in the next 3 stitches, 2 dc in next stitch*
  • Repeat from * to * around
  • slst to beginning dc (50 stitches)

ROW 6

  • ch 2
  • *dc in the next 4 stitches, 2 dc in next stitch*

  • Ch 25, skip the next 16 stitches
  • sc in the next 14 stitches
  • Ch 25, skip the next 16 stitches
  • sc in the next 7 stitches
  • slst to beginning sc (28 sc, 50 ch)

ROW 25 – 27

  • ch 1 (does not count as a stitch), sc in the same stitch
  • sc in each stitch around

FINISHING

Fasten off and weave in ends!
