SUPPLIES

ABBREVIATIONS (US Terms)

  • slst – Slip Stitch
  • ch – Chain
  • tss – Tunisian Simple Stitch
  • tks – Tunisian Knit Stitch
  • sc – Single Crochet

DIMENSIONS

  • Approx. 7 inches by 7 inches
  • The size of this cloth can easily be adjusted, chain any even number of stitches to achieve the length you like and then continue with the repeated Rows to adjust the height

PATTERN

Begin by chaining 24 (or any even number of chains to adjust the size of your cloth).

ROW 1

  • pick up 1 loop through the second ch from the hook and each ch to end.
  • Work standard return pass.

ROW 2

  • *tss, tks*
  • Repeat from * to * until 1 stitch remains
  • 1 edge stitch in last stitch, work standard return pass

ROW 3

  • *tks, tss*
  • Repeat from * to * until 1 stitch remains
  • 1 edge stitch in last stitch, work standard return pass

ROW 4 – 21

Repeat Rows 2 and 3

BIND OFF

Bind off as if you’d be repeating row 2, alternating your hook placement between a tss and tks, do not fasten off, ch 1.

BORDER

Ch 1, turn your cloth clockwise and sc down the side at the end of each row, place 2 sc in the corner stitch. Continue to sc around the remaining 3 sides, placing 2 sc in each corner, slst to beginning sc. Fasten off and weave in ends.
